Welcome!

This website is here to help you get through your Sociology 420 course--Social Interaction.  The class explores how social interactions and stigmas may affect an individual's opinions, perceptions and self identity.  They are demonstrated through assigned readings, and students must use the readings to write an argumentative essay.  This is a graduate level course.  Therefore, students are expected to write an essay that would be acceptable in graduate school.  Although the undergraduates taking this class must be a junior or a senior, many have never had to write such a technically advanced paper and may find this difficult.  The essays also have to be written in ASA format, and this may be a challenge since most English professors want students to use the MLA format.

The website was designed by former students for future students to be able to go to one website to access a variety of resources directly related to their Social Interaction course. The tabs located at the top of the page contain information about theories discussed in class and resources to help you write an argumentative essay.  The Articles tab provides extra information about different issues in Social Interaction.  You can also access many different websites filled with a variety of information about Sociology today, job opportunities, and contact others interested in the field.
